Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met last night with U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at Ovda Air Base in southern Israel. Netanyahu flew secretly from Ben Gurion Airport to Ovda on a private jet, rather than by helicopter as is customary for trips of this type to the Eilat area. The meeting between the two was exceptionally long and took place against the backdrop of discussions between Israel and the U.S. regarding the possibility of resuming the war against Iran. Following the meeting, Netanyahu did not attend the Beitar Jerusalem game, contrary to earlier plans. The Prime Minister's Office declined to comment.
