Democrats Chairman Yair Golan wrote on social media platform X that there is "real progress" toward forming a change government. Ahead of the mandate being granted to form a government next week, and after Yisrael Beiteinu Chairman Avigdor Liberman said he is willing to compromise on the issue of drafting ultra-Orthodox Jews, Golan added: "Israel is at a critical juncture. We are determined to form a national emergency government, and quickly. This is what we promised you – to form a government. I am more optimistic than I was on Wednesday morning, after the election results."
