Border Police officer fighting for life after car attack

Attacker shot dead after ramming 20-year-old with car, critically wounding him, near Hebron; police begin removing some checkpoints in Jerusalem as focal point of violence shifts.

A 20-year-old Border Police officer was critically injured in a vehicular attack near Hebron on Wednesday afternoon. Security forces shot and neutralized the driver of the vehicle.

The wounded man was evacuated to Hadassah Medical Center. The attack took place on route 60 near Halhul, and was the first of its kind in days, and followed a relatively quiet morning.

Earlier this week, a terrorist stabbed a man on a bus in Rishon Lezion and continued his stabbing rampage onto the street.
Three people were wounded including two seriously. One of the victims was an 80-year-old grandmother.
