First snow blankets Hermon

Israel's tallest peak is covered in thin layer of snow, the first of the season.

The snow has arrived: A thin layer of snow blanketed the upper levels of the Hermon overnight, marking the first snow of the season at the popular ski site.
Meteo-tech forecasters said that the rains would continue to accompany us into the afternoon, mainly in central and southern Israel, while flood warnings were issued for the southern river basins.

The rains are set to die down gradually later on, and temperatures will rise.

The ski site's management said, "The snow began falling at a height of 1,400 meters overnight and into this morning. The lower portion of the mountain got very little snow, something like a centimeter."
