- The 43-year-old woman collapsed on the passenger bus near the Hadar HaCarmel neighborhood. An ambulance could be dispatched, the driver was informed, but it would take about 20 minutes. He took matters into his own hands, closing the doors and speeding off to the Rambam Health Care Campus, with all his passengers in tow. The driver reported to the emergency room that they were en route with a patient.
Thus, the bus was permitted to enter the ambulance drop-off area off the emergency room, and hospital's resuscitation team was standing by to treat the woman. Rambam spokesman David Ratner stated that the patient was again conscious and being treated.
