Deputy Russian Ambassador to Israel Alexi Drobinin confirmed that the ambassador was, in fact, sent to the hospital, and said that “the ambassador is doing well now.”
The Ambassador was called to the Foreign Ministry offices in Jerusalem to be reprimanded over Russia’s support of a UN resolution calling Israeli construction in the West Bank illegal earlier in the week.
