In a joint operation by the Shin Bet and Duvdevan special operations force, two suspects in an attempted shooting attack that occurred on Friday in Nili in Mateh Binyamin were arrested later that day in Deir Abu Mash'al. In addition, weapons in their possession were confiscated. The suspects were taken into Shin Bet custody for questioning.
No one was injured in the shooting, but the vehicle was damaged. IDF searched the area shortly after the incident, finding bullet casings and later the suspected shooters.

This was the third shooting incident in the area in less than 2 days. There were two shootings with no casualties on Wednesday near Ramla and Thursday south of Qalqilya.
According to data released by the IDF last week, during the 15 months between October 2015, when the wave of terrorism started, and the end of 2016, there have been 281 recorded cases of terrorist acts across the country originating from the Judea and Samaria Area. Out of them, 89 were shootings.
