The Lod Central District Court sentenced Ruan Abd al-Hai to 10 years in prison. She was an aide at 'Sigal's Kindergarten' in Hod Hasharon and was convicted of carrying out 277 violent offenses against eight toddlers aged eight months to a year and a half. The acts were committed between May and July 2023. Abd al-Hai was convicted of nine counts of abuse of a helpless minor and 122 counts of aggravated assault. In addition, the court ordered her to compensate the toddlers' parents with 450,000 shekels. In one case, she kicked the leg of a toddler who was lying on a mattress, and when he raised his head, she hit him forcefully on his head and back as well.
