Some 1,000 people gathered at Central Park in New York to dedicate the Hostages Bench in the city, an initiative of the Hostages and Missing Families Forum and the UJA-Federation of New York. The bench, placed at the corner of 106th Street and Central Park West and unveiled during the Forum's final official event, is dedicated to those taken captive on October 7, the fallen, the families of captivity survivors, the survivors themselves and the thousands of community members who worked for their release every week. The dedication ceremony was attended by families of hostages, including Moshe Levi, brother-in-law of Omri Miran; Shelly Shem Tov, mother of former hostage Omer Shem Tov; and Maurice Schneider, uncle of the late Shiri Bibas.
