Lapid to attorney general: 'Freeze Sa'ar's move to appoint 12 ambassadors'

|
Opposition leader Yair Lapid has appealed to Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, requesting a freeze on the appointment process of 12 new ambassadors by Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar during the election period. The appeal is based on the binding directive requiring ministers in a transitional government to exercise restraint in using their powers, unless there is a public urgency to act. Ynet was first to report that Sa'ar intends to bring 12 candidates for ambassador positions before the ministry's appointments committee.
