South Korea: Conservative Party Replaces Candidate Less Than a Month Before Election

|
Former South Korean Prime Minister and Acting President Han Duck-soo was removed as the Conservative Party's presidential candidate in the election scheduled for June 3, about three weeks away. He was replaced by Kim Moon-soo, who will run against liberal candidate Lee Jae-myung. Lee is considered the leading candidate to replace former President Yoon Suk-yeol, who was removed from office after declaring martial law in December.
