Indictment against Sharon area father who choked his children until they lost consciousness: 'Their lives were saved thanks to the neighbor'

The prosecution has filed an indictment against a man about 40 years old from the Sharon area who routinely choked his two children, aged about one and two years, until they lost consciousness. The indictment charges the man with 12 counts of abuse of a helpless minor by a caregiver and assault of a minor by a caregiver. Attorney Sapir Azulay Baron, prosecutor from the Central District Attorney's Office: "The defendant brutally attacked and choked his children on many occasions, for long minutes, until they lost consciousness. In some cases, the father tried to resuscitate one of the children after they fainted. Their lives were saved only thanks to the vigilance of a neighbor who noticed unusual behavior by the father during nighttime hours, initiated a check of the building's security cameras and thereby exposed the acts and reported to the police." The prosecution has requested that the defendant be detained until the end of legal proceedings against him.
