|
European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas responded to Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, who announced he would sever contact with her after she made a comparison, according to a report she did not deny, between Israel and the apartheid regime. Kallas said: "Dialogue is the basis of diplomacy, especially when there are gaps. The European Union is always committed to fruitful relations with Israel." According to her, "To bring peace to the Middle East, a two-state solution remains the only way."
