Suspected massive National Insurance fraud: Soccer referees and three club managers investigated

|
Police and investigators from the National Insurance Institute revealed that in the suspected National Insurance fraud case involving Premier League soccer players, soccer referees and referee observers were also investigated and some have admitted to the allegations. Additionally, last night three club managers were questioned: Hapoel Beer Sheva, Beitar Jerusalem, and Hapoel Haifa - part of the money paid by the National Insurance was transferred directly to a club that committed to return the funds taken illegally. In another Premier League club, investigators found they employed a "doctor" who failed medical certification exams from the Ministry of Health multiple times and issued medical certificates to players for submission to the National Insurance Institute.
