France, Germany and Britain announced they will activate the mechanism to restore sanctions against Iran. This was reported by Reuters news agency according to a letter the powers submitted to the UN Security Council that reached the agency. In the letter, the powers stated they "have begun a 30-day process toward reinstating sanctions." The powers said they hope Iran will provide commitments regarding its nuclear program, otherwise they would be unable to avoid concrete action.
