Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Israel David Yosef called to "eliminate the phenomenon of get refusal" during the swearing-in ceremony of 28 new religious judges at the President's Residence. According to him, "A woman denied a get is an agunah. I go to prisons to meet with refusers to convince them to grant a get. I trust you will work to eliminate this phenomenon." President Isaac Herzog added: "I call upon you to join this effort and I suggest acting with all your might - first and foremost to declare a day of general fasting and prayer for our brothers and sisters in the hands of murderers."
