Security forces operating in Nablus eliminated the head of Islamic Jihad operations in Jenin, Nur Bitawi, and another militant after surrounding his house. IDF spokesperson reported that Bitawi promoted significant terrorist activity and was involved in directing, financing, and executing attacks against Israelis and security forces. Additionally, Bitawi maintained connections with Hamas in Gaza and abroad. Bitawi was responsible for channeling funds to Jenin and surrounding villages, working to recruit and arm militants for attacks against IDF forces. Simultaneously, he was involved in manufacturing and planting explosive devices.
