Iraq: 'We've reached understandings with the Americans regarding dollar transfers for oil'

|
Iraqi government spokesman Haider al-Abadi told the Iraqi News Agency that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani reached an understanding during his visit to the United States regarding the continued shipment of cash in U.S. dollars to Iraq. A new shipment of cash will arrive in Iraq in the coming days. This understanding comes in light of the progress Iraq has made in strengthening the monitoring system for dollar distribution." Iraq's oil revenues are transferred to it through the United States. Washington delayed the transfer of funds due to concerns about lack of oversight.
