Police have confirmed that the former senior official at the government company who was questioned under caution by Lahav 433 is Idan David, the ousted chairman of Ayalon Highways. Investigators from the National Unit for the Investigation of Economic Crimes (Yalch) detained David for questioning on suspicion of a long list of serious offenses, including perjury, forgery of documents under aggravating circumstances and obtaining something by deception. Investigators are now examining whether David acted systematically and fraudulently to pass the screening by the state's professional authorities and secure the position, while presenting an extremely false representation of his professional background.
