Senior Hamas official Mohammed Nazzal claimed in an interview with the Qatari newspaper "Al-Arabi Al-Jadid" that the organization "has responded to a new Qatari initiative to bridge the gaps in the latest proposal" as part of the ceasefire negotiations. Although Hamas rejected the Steve Witkoff framework currently on the table, he claimed that negotiations "have not reached a dead end." He added that the organization intends to continue its "armed resistance."
