The exiled spiritual leader of Tibet, the Dalai Lama, who celebrates his 90th birthday tomorrow, said he "hopes to live another 40 years, until the age of 130." He made these remarks at a ceremony organized by his supporters for prayers for his longevity, days after putting an end to speculations regarding the fate of the 600-year-old institution he heads – declaring for the first time unequivocally that when he passes away, his soul will be reincarnated. The Dalai Lama said he will have a successor who will continue the tradition and the struggle for Tibet's independence from Chinese occupation.
