The IDF published on Wednesday evening details of some of the terror targets struck in the Gaza Strip over the last twenty-four hours in response to a prolonged barrage of mortars and rockets launched into southern Israel in what was the most intense flare-up of hostilities since Operation Protective Edge in 2014.
More than 65 targets were hit by Israeli aerial reprisal attacks that began Tuesday afternoon and continued into the night. The day’s strikes were launched on what security officials in Gaza called Islamic Jihad militant training sites.

According Eyal Zamir Southern Command chief Major-General Eyal Zamir, said the IDF obliterated important strategic targets in the Gaza Strip and porised the rapid strikes as a significant accomplishment.
“We attacked very valuable, very important targets and we have waited a long time for the opportunity to hit them,” he said in an interview with Ynet. “I think that at this point in time we have made a very big achievement.”
