Three wounded in stabbing in Adam, terrorist shot dead

17-year-old Palestinian terrorist infiltrates settlement near Ramallah, where he stabs three Israelis, critically wounding one, moderately wounding another and lightly wounding a third; stabber shot dead by one of his victims; Hamas: 'This is a natural response to Israel's crimes.'

A teenage Palestinian terrorist stabbed three Israelis in the settlement of Adam near Ramallah on Thursday evening.
Mohammad Tareq Yousef, 17, from Kobar, infiltrated the settlement through the fence, passed through the settlement's playground and stabbed two passersby.
A third person who heard the commotion went out to the street and was stabbed while pulling his gun. He then shot the terrorist dead.

A 31-year-old man was in critical condition suffering stab wounds to his upper body, a 58-year-old man in moderate condition also suffering stab wounds to his upper body and a 41-year-old man who was in light with stab wounds to his limbs.

The lightly wounded man was taken to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in the capital, while the other two were evacuated to the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Mount Scopus.
A woman was also taken to the hospital suffering from shock.

Orel Asulin, A MDA paramedic who was among the first to arrive on the scene, said that "During the evacuation, the condition of one of the wounded deteriorated and we had to perform resuscitation."

IDF forces from the Binyamin Brigade were called to the scene and began a wide-scale search in the surrounding area for any accomplices.
“A civilian shot the terrorist and was slightly injured as a result of a direct confrontation with him. We continue to search the area and operations in the surrounding villages are expected to be conducted tonight, in cooperation with the Shin Bet who conducting the investigation of the attack,” said IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Ronen Manelis.
The IDF will examine how the terrorist was able to infiltrate the settlement's fence.

In the wake of the attack, a siren was sounded across the settlement to warn residents not to leave their homes.
A statement from the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council said, "In the wake of a security incident in the settlement, we request the residents to remain in their homes, lock their doors and close the shutters."
"The lights should be turned off inside the house and turned on outside of it. We ask to only call the emergency hot line in case of an emergency or an unusual event," the statement went on to say.

Adam's resident Daniel Nadav described the chain of events saying, "I saw sharp movements, and at first I thought it was a neighbors' feud. And then I saw a man running towards me being chased by a terrorist, which made me realize this was a security incident."
"The terrorist saw me and started to run after me. I escaped, and he realized he doesn't stand a chance," he recalled.
"He stabbed two people and attempted to stab the third one, who neutralized him," he added.

Hamas celebrated the attack. “We praise the heroic action, which is a natural response to Israel's crimes … this is a continuation of the Intifada," the terror group said.
