UK: 3 senior officials arrested at hospital where nurse killed 7 infants in NICU

Reuters|
British police arrested three senior executives at Countess of Chester Hospital, who worked there in 2015-2016, on suspicion of negligent homicide following the conviction of nurse Lucy Letby for the murder of seven infants in the neonatal intensive care unit. Local authorities reported this, adding that the three were released on bail. Nurse Letby was convicted in 2023 for the murder of seven infants to whom she injected insulin and air, including a day-old infant, and attempted murder of six additional infants. Following her conviction, the treatment of approximately 4,000 other infants in the NICU during her employment will also be examined.
