Inflation for 2025 set at 2.6%, housing prices rise for first time after many months

The Consumer Price Index for December remained unchanged, but since the parallel index in 2024 fell by 0.3% - the annual inflation rate slightly increased and settled at 2.6%. After eight consecutive months of decline, the housing price index rose by 0.7%. In annual comparison, the increase actually moderated significantly and stood at 0.1%. Annual increases were recorded in the Jerusalem (9.4%), Northern (5.4%), Southern (1.2%) and Haifa (0.5%) districts. Decreases were recorded in the Central (2.9%) and Tel Aviv (2.8%) districts.
