A stray cat infected with rabies was found near the settlement of Shtula in the Western Galilee. According to the Health Ministry, a person who was exposed to the cat has been referred for preventive treatment. "We request anyone who came into contact or whose animals came into contact with the infected animal or a stray animal in the incident area between June 29, 2025 and July 13, 2025 inclusive to urgently contact the Acre Health Office at 04-9955138 or the nearest health office to their residence to consider receiving preventive treatment," the statement said.
