Clashes also erupted in Marseille in the south of the country, where protesters threw objects at police, who responded with tear gas. In addition, protesters in Marseille set fires on the road in several locations, and demonstrators were documented smashing storefront windows. The protest events are scheduled to officially begin at 3:00 p.m., with preparations for the participation of thousands, including trade unions, students and the 'Yellow Vests' organization.
