Iran's National Security Council, the highest security body in the Islamic Republic, declared a "victory" and announced that a ceasefire has gone into effect. "The victory forced Israel to accept its defeat. Iran does not trust the enemy's words and will keep its finger on the trigger to respond to any aggression."
