The Rome prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into the "kidnapping" of Gaza flotilla activists Saif Abu Qashak and Tiago Avila, who were arrested and brought to Israel. This was reported by Italian media outlets. According to reports, the investigation was launched because the activists' arrest by Israel was carried out in international waters, on a boat flying the Italian flag.
