Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has instructed to summon the Polish ambassador to Israel, Maciej Hunia, for an official reprimand by the head of the Political-Strategic Division, following statements made by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the Polish Foreign Ministry. According to the minister's statement, "In these statements, Israel was accused of using hunger as a weapon, and they included outrageous references to concentration camps." It was further stated that "Israel strongly rejects these accusations and expects Poland to refrain from using language that distorts history and disrespects the memory of Holocaust victims."
