Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said in his speech at the UN that "expanding the war will not achieve the goal. We stood by the memorandum of understanding and we are not afraid of a war in which we defend ourselves. We believe in diplomacy and will not succumb to the pressure of military force." According to him, "Israel kills, but Iran is the one under sanctions. This is a double standard. Iran has never been aggressive, never initiated a war and has consistently demonstrated its commitment to negotiation. War was imposed on us, but we have proven that we are not afraid of a defensive war. Trump needs to understand that threats unite our people."
