Senior Hamas official Taher al-Nono told Qatar's Al-Arabi channel: "We saw Witkoff's proposal as a basis for negotiations, we agreed to release 10 hostages and the dispute may lie in the timing of the release. We want a permanent ceasefire, not a temporary one that will end after 60 days, and full entry of aid into Gaza." According to him, "We fully agreed to Witkoff's proposal before it was modified, but Israel rejected it. We haven't made direct contact with the American administration recently, and we won't refuse if it happens."
