Britain has tightened its restrictions on Israel and blocked or delayed more than 80 arms export licenses for items that "could be used by the IDF." This was reported by the kingdom's Middle East Minister, Stephen Doughty. This is nearly three times the number of licenses suspended when the restrictions came into force in September 2024. The minister said they took the step because, according to the British, these are items that could be used by the military in the Gaza Strip. The report was published in the British Jewish newspaper The Jewish Chronicle, which noted that new measures introduced in the country create a "double-lock mechanism" that prevents approvals.
