NSC: Opposing Red Cross visits to prisoners until hostages in Gaza receive visits

|
The National Security Council (NSC) announced that a joint position has been formulated by the IDF, Shin Bet, NSC, and the Defense, Justice and Foreign ministries regarding a petition to the High Court of Justice requesting permission for Red Cross representatives to visit security prisoners from Gaza. "We should oppose visits by Red Cross representatives to prisoners from the Gaza Strip and to prisoners affiliated with terrorist organizations, as long as similar visits to the hostages held in the Gaza Strip are not allowed," the statement said. National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir opposed this position, and at his request, the response to the High Court was delayed.
