The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, affiliated with Hezbollah, reported that Syria has expressed willingness to assist in locating the remains of Israeli soldiers missing since 1982. Diplomatic sources told the newspaper that the Syrian government has not closed the door to humanitarian mediation and there is a possibility that it may agree to return to Israel the remains of Israeli spy Eli Cohen.
