The IDF Spokesperson cleared for publication that Sgt. Rotem Yanai, 20, from Givat Ada, a logistics NCO in the Rotem Battalion (435) of the Givati Brigade, was killed yesterday by an explosive drone detonation at the Shomera outpost. In the same incident, another explosive drone detonated, and two reserve soldiers were seriously and moderately wounded. The two were members of the standby squad from the nearby Goren moshav, who arrived to assist following the first explosive drone detonation. Sgt. Yanai was killed while making her way to the protected area.
