Interior Minister Moshe Arbel has retracted his resignation in order to approve the appointment of Israel Ozen, a Shas party affiliate, as director-general of the Interior Ministry. In a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Arbel stated: "I hereby have the honor of informing you about my retraction of resignation from my position, as 48 hours have not yet passed since the resignation letter was submitted on this matter." Arbel is expected to resign again after appointing the director-general.
