Col. (Res.) Amir Avivi, founder of the Bitahonistim (Security Experts) Movement, has joined Likud. The party announced that 'Avivi and the Bitahonistim Movement support Prime Minister Netanyahu's security doctrine, which centers on the principles of decisive action, initiative and Israel's security independence.' Avivi served in the IDF as Deputy Comptroller of the Defense Establishment, Chief of Staff to the IDF Chief of Staff, Deputy Commander of the Gaza Division, Commander of the Shagai Brigade, Commander of Battalion 605 and Commander of the Combat Engineering School.
