The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) approved a resolution requiring Iran to report its enriched uranium stockpile and allow agency inspectors to verify it. Members of the IAEA Board of Governors called the resolution "necessary and urgent" and urged Iran to grant them "all the access they need." The resolution, submitted by the U.S., Britain, France and Germany, passed with 21 votes in favor, three against and 10 abstentions. Those opposed were Russia, China and Niger. Iranian representatives called the resolution "political" and "lacking professionalism."
