U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News after the Alaska summit that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will schedule a meeting to try to reach a ceasefire. "Now it really depends on Zelensky, and I would also say that European countries need to be a little more involved. But it depends on Zelensky," Trump said. According to him, "They are going to arrange a meeting between Zelensky and Putin, and with me I assume. They both want me there - and I will be there." He added about the meeting with Putin: "We negotiated about NATO, security measures, territories and more. I think we're pretty close to a deal, I want to see people stop dying in Ukraine. I suggest Zelensky makes a deal."
