Kibbutz Nir Oz: 'Harsh message - our lives are worth less, and 58 hostages remain behind'

|
Kibbutz Nir Oz stated that 'the Nir Oz community is deeply moved by the release of Idan Alexander after 584 days in captivity. We embrace his family, the Hatzor community, and the Jewish community in the United States. Every hostage who returns is a great light in the darkness we find ourselves in. However, it's difficult to ignore the harsh message that Israeli citizens are receiving today, which is being conveyed to the entire world: our lives are worth less. A hostage with an American passport receives priority, while 58 other hostages remain behind – including 14 members of the Nir Oz community, and the anxiety about their fate is greater than ever.'
