Knesset Legal Adviser Sagit Afik ruled that the vote for the election of State Comptroller Michael Rabello cannot be canceled. In her response to requests for exhausting procedures, she stated: "I do not believe that the difference between the results of the first vote and the results of the second vote (after the Likud demand to document the election) in itself necessarily indicates improper influence exerted on Knesset members." On the day of the vote, Likud faction manager Aliza Bloch shouted at Knesset members to photograph themselves with the ballot in the ballot box behind the curtain, contrary to protocols. At the same time, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu summoned Knesset members to him in order to check who did not vote for Rabello.
