Lebanese channel Al-Jadeed reported that Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has been holding an emergency meeting since early morning hours with the interior, justice and welfare ministers and the director general of civil defense in attendance. The meetings are being held following the escalation that began with Hezbollah fire that launched rockets and drones at Israel, and the IDF responded with strikes in Dahieh of Beirut and southern Lebanon.
