Sgt. Assaf Zamir, an armored corps soldier who was killed by an anti-tank missile in Khan Younis, was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Dimona. His father Yarden eulogized: "I can't believe I'm standing here in this place. You were supposed to say Kaddish for me, not I for you. You wanted so much to bring back the hostages and protect the country. Watch over us from above, send us strength. Thank you for the 19 most beautiful years of my life." His sister Rotem said: "Your soul is with us forever, I know you can hear. You are our hero, the whole country knows it."
