Bahrain announced it is joining a declaration by numerous countries expressing readiness "to contribute to efforts to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz" and confirmed their "commitment to provide support to countries affected" by Iranian attacks. The declaration, signed by Britain, France, Germany, Italy and others, included sharp condemnation of attacks on "unarmed commercial vessels in the Gulf, civilian infrastructure, including oil and gas facilities, and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iranian forces."
