Opposition leader Yair Lapid claimed at the start of the Yesh Atid faction meeting that "senior officials from mediating countries approached me again, and told me 'we still haven't received any response - Israel is not answering.'" He added that "the government isn't even trying to bring them home. Not even trying to negotiate and close a deal - Israel simply isn't responding. In the last month, the Israeli government has held more meetings about funding flights to Uman than about releasing the hostages."
