Dozens of Israeli Air Force fighter jets attacked multiple targets in Tehran overnight, including surface-to-air missile infrastructure, as part of efforts to degrade the Iranian regime's air defense capabilities, the IDF spokesperson announced. Air Force Commander Tomer Bar said in a situation assessment after the wave of strikes that "following an intensive day in which we attacked hundreds of targets, including dozens of air defense systems, we conducted a wave of precise strikes with operational and national significance over the skies of Tehran, which enhance our air superiority and freedom of operation in Iran."
