Ultra-Orthodox extremists block junctions on Highways 2, 4 and 6 - instead of planned protest near Prison 10

Ultra-Orthodox extremists from the "Jerusalem Faction" are blocking junctions on Highways 6, 4 and 2 due to what they call "aggressive persecution of Torah students." The blockades are taking place instead of the protest event that faction members had announced earlier near Prison 10, protesting the arrest of ultra-Orthodox draft dodgers in recent days. In a statement from the "Committee for Saving the Torah World," it was written that "due to the persecution of the Torah world in Israel and the imprisonment of Torah students for the crime of studying Torah, the rabbis of the Committee for Saving the Torah World were called to the residence of the Torah authority Rabbi Azriel Auerbach to hear his decisive instruction to launch an uncompromising 'fury struggle' against the authorities, until they understand that unleashing persecution and oppression against Torah students comes with a price."
