Itamar Eichner, Shilo Freid|
President Isaac Herzog condemned the arson at a synagogue in Jerusalem's Sanhedria neighborhood, stating that "the burning of holy books, spray-painting of crosses, and attempt to burn Torah scrolls are revolting. I call for swift and decisive action to investigate this serious hate crime and bring the perpetrators to justice." Condemnations were issued across the political spectrum, including from Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Housing Minister Yitzhak Goldknopf, Opposition Leader Yair Lapid, and Democratic Party Chairman Yair Golan. The latter wrote: "This is a serious and dangerous event that deserves all condemnation."
