Detention extended by 5 days for suspect in arson of Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef's synagogue

Police have completed their investigation of a Beitar Illit resident suspected of setting fire to Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef's synagogue and a nearby building, as well as spray-painting graffiti at the site in the Sanhedria neighborhood of Jerusalem. During the investigation, a search was conducted at the suspect's home, where combustible materials, spray paint cans and additional items connecting the suspect to the acts were found. Upon completion of the investigation, prosecutors filed a prosecutor's statement with the court yesterday, and the suspect's detention was extended by five days pending the filing of an indictment.
